Nurse Zhang Hui of Infection Control Becomes SHEA International Ambassador
Nurse Zhang Hui from the Infection Control Department of West China Hospital was selected to be the International Ambassador of the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America(SHEA) on April 18, 2018. And she will be provided a travel grant by SHEA to attend the SHEA Spring 2018 Conference in Portland, United States.
SHEA, founded in 1980, mainly committed to preventing and controlling the incidence rate, mortality rate and medical costs of infections and infection-related diseases. It is currently the most well-known academic organization in the field of infection control. The International Ambassadors Program, started by SHEA in 2009, means to help build collaborative relationships between U.S. and international healthcare professionals. Each year, the Society selects outstanding delegates from around the world to participate in advanced discussions on epidemiology and infection prevention, engage with SHEA’s member experts, and explore educational and research opportunities. Winning this award is a great honor for the professionals who have made an important contribution to the global development of infection control.
