In order to promote mutual understanding and cooperation with Israeli medical institutions, West China Hospital of Sichuan University organized a delegation to visit Israel on December 1. Representatives from Rehabilitation Medicine, Nursing School, Nursing Department, Clinical Skills Training Center, International Office, West China Technology Transfer Center, and Research Base joined the delegation.
The delegation visited the Israeli National Medical Center, Sheba Medical Center, and other three large general hospitals (Rambam Medical Center, Soroka Medical Center, Meir Medical Center), two rehabilitation hospitals (Beit Lowenstein Hospital, Reuth Rehabilitation Center), two simulation training centers, a national research center (Weizmann Institute), and the Israeli International Development Cooperation Center (Mashav) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the visit, the delegation met with a number of hospital managers and experts in nursing, rehabilitation, and clinical skills training, and conducted in-depth exchanges and cooperation discussions on medical and health systems, hospital management, nursing, and rehabilitation and other related fields. The delegation also visited the underground emergency hospital of Rambam Medical Center, the trauma center of Soroka Medical Center, the Rehabilitation Center and the world's first medical simulation teaching center of Sheba Medical Center. The delegation and the hosting hospitals have initially reached relevant cooperation intentions such as mutual visits and personnel training, specialties matching, joint development of innovative projects, mutual sister hospitals, and regular joint bilateral forums.
The delegation also visited the Weizmann Institute and Masav, and exchanged cooperation needs, and discussed the possibility of project cooperation and bilateral technology transformation. During a meeting with the management of the Weizmann Institute, they introduced transformation and implementation of the institute's early-stage biomedical projects in China and we introduced the process and mode of transfer and transformation of research achievements of our institute. During the visit to Mashav, the two sides reached a consensus and planned to try to cooperate in international training projects in medical, nursing and mobile simulation training.
This visit is a follow-up to our hospital’s visit to Israel in March 2019. Based on the exchanges of the previous visit, we conducted in-depth exchanges and project matchings in rehabilitation, nursing and clinical skills training, etc.
